Experience and Expertise

Claire Ellison is currently in private practice but is also currently a contract therapist with DePelchin Children's Center at their residential treatment facility.  Claire has been working with children, adults and families since 2005 and became licensed for clinical practice in 2009. Before starting her clinical practice, Claire worked in a variety of clinical settings including psychiatric hospitals,  community agencies, foster care agencies and residential treatment centers. 

Education

Claire Ellison received her BS in Child and Family Development with a minor in Early Childhood Intervention from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2004.  She received her M.Ed in Counseling Psychology from University of Houston in 2008.  Claire received her play therapy training at DePelchin Children's Center and EMDR training through CompassionWorks.
